Uttarakhand Government Sends Recruitment Proposal for 1,818 Posts Across Key Departments
Uttarakhand has sent a recruitment proposal for 1,818 government posts to the UKSSSC. From police and forest departments to prisons and excise, the vacancies could open new employment opportunities for eligible candidates across the state.
The proposed recruitment is expected to open new opportunities for eligible candidates seeking government jobs in the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state government was serious about the future of young people and that providing employment opportunities based on merit remained a priority. He said more than 35,000 youths had already been provided government jobs in the state through a transparent process.
The government has taken effective measures to ensure transparency, fairness and accountability in recruitment procedures, the Chief Minister said.
“Our government is committed to ensuring that every eligible young person in the state gets an opportunity to move forward based on their talent and hard work. There will be no compromise on transparency and fairness in government recruitment. Fulfilling the dreams of young people and providing them with better employment opportunities are among our highest priorities,” Dhami said.
According to the recruitment proposal sent to the commission, the Uttarakhand Police Department accounts for a significant share of the vacancies. The department has proposed recruitment for 1,187 posts in the constable cadre, 93 posts of Sub-Inspector (Civil Police), 19 posts of Sub-Inspector (Intelligence) and 81 posts of Platoon Commander in the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), India Reserve Battalion (IRB) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
The proposal also includes five posts of Fire Station Second Officer.
In the Prison Administration and Correctional Services Department, recruitment has been proposed for 117 posts of prison guards. The Excise Department will recruit for 50 posts of excise constables and two posts of Sub-Excise Inspector.
Similarly, the Forest Department has proposed recruitment for 189 posts of forest guards and 75 posts of Special Tiger Guards.
The Chief Minister said the state government was continuously taking decisions in the interest of young people and working to connect them with employment opportunities.
Forwarding recruitment proposals for vacant positions across various departments is an important step in this direction, the government said. The proposed recruitment will provide thousands of young people in Uttarakhand with opportunities to enter government service through competitive examinations.
The state government has reiterated its focus on conducting recruitment procedures in a fair, transparent and organised manner, ensuring that eligible candidates receive opportunities in accordance with their merit, hard work and abilities.
